Our TeaCHERS

KATHRYN ANDREWS - OWNER/FOUNDER/YOGA TEACHER

Movement is love—this has been true for Kat since she was a toddler riding in a stroller on her dad’s long runs, joyful to be included in the daily ritual. The internal stillness that occurs when the body is moving became a daily need and rhythm of life. Movement is often the answer when the mind can’t find the answers it is craving with words. Kat found many forms of movement throughout her upbringing, but soccer and cross country running were integral. Yoga was introduced in 2013 but became a serious practice a little later after an eating disorder and a hip fracture in college. The shift from competitive sports to a practice born of pure openness and acceptance was not initially graceful but very needed. Yoga started to soften her edges and grow a new sense of self outside of a lifelong perfectionist lens. Yoga helped her return home to herself and still does every time she steps on her mat.
The desire to expand into teaching yoga was around for years but became a reality in 2020. She enrolled in a local 200-hour teacher training right at the cusp of the pandemic. The pandemic experience was a traumatic and terrifying one, as Kat is a registered nurse and continued to work on one of the first covid units at her hospital. Teacher training and daily yoga became the distractions from a grim reality. After her teacher training, she began teaching outdoor classes out of West Glow Farm and later opened Alma. Alma has grown into a beautiful and warm community that she never could have dreamed up herself. Alma has become a sanctuary for her and hopefully everyone who walks through the doors.
Kat’s teaching style leans powerful and grounding with a focus on honoring oneself and listening to the inherent inner knowing all humans have if they allow it to be heard. Yoga is a practice of meeting oneself again and again with radical acceptance. Kat may love a mindful class, but she also loves a spicy hot class (like 103-105 degrees). Kat’s belief system is a mix of magic and peer-reviewed research, which she thinks are basically the same thing anyway, there just might not be research to prove all magic (yet). Outside of practicing yoga, Kat maintains a regular weightlifting routine (yay muscle and dense bones), loves to take walks with her two big boy dogs, Frank (aussiedoodle) and Ash (great pyrenees mix), and works as an RN at VUMC and Ascension Saint Thomas.

STEPHANIE GRADONE - SCULPT TEACHER

Stephanie is a certified personal trainer specializing in pre- and postnatal exercise who is passionate about helping others feel confident and capable in their bodies.
She founded her online community in 2018 after her first pregnancy to help women understand the changes their bodies experience and build a solid foundation during pregnancy and postpartum. After facing unexpected challenges with her second child, her work deepened—rooted in genuine empathy for others navigating self-doubt, postpartum depression, and the path back to feeling like themselves.
While her focus remains on supporting pregnancy and postpartum fitness, her approach has evolved to serve women across all life stages, with the belief that fitness is a journey—not a destination—and that everyone deserves tailored guidance that honors their unique body and circumstances, meeting each person exactly where they are.

CECE MAY - YOGA TEACHER

CeCe is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, songwriter, and lifelong student of mindful movement. Her teaching blends creative sequencing, intentional breathwork, and a deep appreciation for the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
With both 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training certifications, including advanced study with Susanna Barkataki, CeCe brings a thoughtful, inclusive approach to her classes. Her training has deepened her understanding of accessible yoga, mindful movement, and creating spaces where every student feels welcome to explore their own practice.
Vinyasa is her favorite style to teach, offering the perfect balance of strength, fluidity, and creative expression. She is drawn to sequences that are ever-evolving, leaving room for curiosity, freedom, and the unique experience each student brings to the mat. Her classes invite students to find strength without force, move with intention, and reconnect with themselves through breath and movement.
Before finding her path in yoga, CeCe studied commercial music at Belmont University and spent years songwriting, touring, and performing. Her background in music continues to influence her teaching, inspiring thoughtful sequencing, a natural sense of rhythm, and an appreciation for the ways movement can become a form of self-expression.
At the heart of CeCe’s teaching is a belief that yoga is more than a physical practice. It is an opportunity to listen, grow, and come home to yourself. Her intention is to create a welcoming space where students can meet themselves exactly as they are, embrace the freedom to explore, and carry a deeper sense of connection beyond the mat.

Laura Cavaliere - Pilates teacher

Laura leads movement with warmth, humor, and deep respect for the body’s wisdom. She teaches Pilates and Yoga as somatic practices of self-connection, strength, and ease — supporting students in meeting themselves with curiosity rather than judgment.
With roots in hatha yoga and a lifelong relationship to movement and dance, Laura weaves breath, alignment, and intuitive, somatic awareness into classes that feel both grounding and uplifting. Her background in architecture and the arts informs her thoughtful, creative approach to space, structure, and embodiment.
She finds joy in traveling, surfing, and moving through the world with curiosity, and believes movement can be a daily ritual for clarity, resilience, and self-trust.

Brooke Meyers - YOGA TEACHER

Brooke discovered yoga after years of struggling to find a form of movement she actually enjoyed, and it changed everything. The way the practice transformed her relationship with her body, her mental health, and her confidence led her to teacher training in 2024, where she has since expanded into teaching Yin, Restorative, Meditation, and Sound Healing. She is passionate about the self-trust yoga builds on the mat and how that follows us into everyday life, and loves offering something for every body, from nervous system supportive practices to energetic power flows.
Brooke feels her journey with teaching is best summed up by this quote: “I wanted to do something that was filled with light for us all and it turns out the easiest way to start is just saying I love you and I’m glad you’re here."

mandy totoro - yoga teacher

Meeting yourself where you’re at, that’s what yoga means to Mandy.
She believes every time we show up on our mat is an opportunity to tune out the outside world and tune into the wisdom of our body. Since completing her 200 hour training in 2017, Mandy has found her voice in the restorative room. In this unceasingly chaotic world, it’s more important than ever to take the time to nurture our bodies with rest and acceptance.

heather williams - massage therapist

Heather is a licensed massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist. She grew up in Kentucky, lived in Pensacola for a bit, moved to Nashville in 2005 and has called Fairview home since 2014. She has a cat, Kitty, and a number of woodland critters who call her yard home, including a demanding box turtle and a rather surly groundhog she calls Chester.
After spending the last several years working remotely in health information management, Heather began to feel a bit isolated and disconnected from her community. So, she went to massage school, graduated in 2022, and began working as a solo practitioner. Heather truly believes in the healing power of human touch and that connection has been essential in her own health and wellness journey. Her goals as a therapist include helping people relax and relieving pain (of course), but more importantly she wants to help them feel at home in their own bodies.
Heather is so grateful for the community she has found at Alma and in Kingston Springs. She hopes to see you on her table soon.
